What We Did - Week 4

Day 22 - Thur.
We went to an indoor play place called Paradise Pond to play because it was cold and rainy outside.  Mark was so excited to be there.  There was a ton for him to do but he chose to go grocery shopping, make some cupcakes and have a tea party.  I loved watching him have tea because he would pretend to pour the tea, put sugar in it, stir and then take a sip.  It was hilarious.

Day 23 - Fri.
This little guy (not so little, really) loves to read while having breakfast.

Day 24 - Sat.
Soccer time!  Michael played two games.

We had lunch in between his two games.

Day 25 - Sun.
More soccer! Mark was there to cheer his big bro on. And had some snacks.

Day 26 - Mon.
We had a play date with Reagan.  We enjoyed the beautiful, sunny day having lunch and playing outside at Central Market.  These two like to hold hands.  So sweet.

Day 27 - Tue.
We took the car to get washed and Mark had fun playing while we waited.

The day was perfect for eating lunch...

...And for playing outside.

Day 28 - Wed.
Soccer practice.  I couldn't get a good picture.  Michael's the one in white with his hand up.

Soccer Weekend

I'm still kinda recovering from Michael's soccer tournament.  He had 2 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday - all in Frisco and all spaced out so that we had to drive back and forth twice a day.

And his team lost 2 games that they should have won.  According to M and his dad, it was the coaching and I will have to agree. Anyway, that's pretty much all we did this weekend. It was exhausting, but I do love to watch my little guy play.

We went and had lunch after his first game. The service was a little slow but fortunately, Mark had Daddy's iPhone to keep him busy.

Love my not-so-little soccer player.  I can't believe this baby will be 12 in less than 2 months.

 My favorite player in action.

This little cutie was there to cheer his big brother on. "Go, Michael, go!" was his favorite cheer.  Love this baby!

Totally unrelated to soccer, but we also started potty training this guy last Friday.  I must say that it's gone a lot better than I had anticipated.

He has nailed the peeing part down and will even go on the toilet all by himself when he needs to go - just working on #2 right now.  He was dry all day yesterday even after our playdate.

Speaking of playdate, we had one with one of his favorite buddies.  They are super sweet together.  See what I mean?

Randoms

Today is supposed to be the What We Did - Week 3 edition, but there's no point.  I have 2 pictures that I can share.  That doesn't mean that we didn't do anything.  It just means that I've been slacking on pictures.

I've been going to the gym pretty regularly and I've now added childcare to my membership so no excuses. I feel so much better on days that I work out.

The boys had the day off on Monday and it was such a beautiful day.  They played outside most of the day.  M and I took Mark on a nice walk around our lake.

Tuesday was another amazing day.  Mark and I met up with some friends on the patio of Central Market, had some lunch and played. Then we had to drop off Michael's trumpet off at his school.  He got his mouthpiece stuck so we had to take it to Bell's Music Shop in the morning to get fixed.

Wednesday started off a bit shaky.  Matthew missed the bus because he refused to go before finding his iPhone.  I was so angry, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that big of a deal.  I wish I had realized that yesterday morning.  After we dropped him off at school, we had a little time before my PTO meeting so we stopped at Mcdonald's for breakfast.

Then, I dropped Mark off at his weekly time with the Gs and ran some errands. I needed to return some stuff to Hobby Lobby, get some supplies for a Valentine's Day party that I'm hosting for my Mom's group, and drop off lunch for Michael - very exciting stuff.

I've started to put a few Valentine's Day decorations up.

We've also started trying to potty train Mark.  It's slow going.  I put him on the toilet before bed last night and he asked for a magazine to read while on there.  H didn't go, but at least he agreed to even sit on the toilet.  He sometimes refuses.  We've put him in a lottery for a spot in preschool next fall.  Our goal is to have him completely trained by then.  I know, we aim high...

I texted this picture to my brother and sister.  So excited for this to open.  It seems like I've been waiting for a couple of years.  They were suppose to have opened last November but it's January and still not open.  What's taking you so long, Joe?

Three-Day Weekend

Seriously a lazy weekend of doing nothing.  It's January and after being freezing cold, this weekend was warm and beautiful.  The boys played with their friends and I spent my weekend in my workout clothes.  I worked out anthem and never bothered to take them off.  Mark pretty much stayed in his PJs all weekend.

On Friday I took Mark to Urban Air for Toddler Time and then we brought lunch Matthew afterwards. That was pretty much all we did.  I went to a couple of classes at the gym so I was justified in staying in my gym clothes. Haha.

Toddler Time at Urban Air.  He loved playing in the foam pit.

Then we had lunch with Matthew.

Monday morning started off like this. Love these guys.

What We Did - Week 2

Yes, there is no week one post, but with getting over the illnesses and trying to get back into our routine has been our priority.  I think we've got it down now. But the pictures for this week are not great.  I didn't take many.  I will do better....

Day 8 - Thur.
On this day, both Mark and I got super sick with some sort of stomach bug and couldn't eat or drink anything without getting sick.  We did nothing rest and sleep.

Day 9 - Fri.
We recovered on Friday, but stayed home and rested.

Day 10 - Sat.
Mark had 2 birthday parties to go to.  The first was a "Frozen" party for Reagan and then we went directly to Davis' party.  So fun, but I was pooped out by the time we got home.  The boys played with friends all day.

Day 11 - Sun.
I finally felt well enough to go work out again. Yay!

Day 12 - Mon.
Mark had a playdate with some friends at White Chapel's indoor playground.  I didn't take any pictures, of course.

Day 13 - Tue.
Another playdate at Chuck E Cheese's.  Mark was so excited to play all the games.  He didn't quite know what to do at first, but once he discovered tokens and tickets, he was all over the place.  SO fun to watch!  He even danced with CEC himself.

Day 14 - Wed.
I dropped Mark off at the Gs and went to work at the Spirit Shop.  It was nice to catch up with my Spirit Shop ladies.

The Sickies

I don't want to jinx it or anything but the only person in this house that has not been sick for the last few weeks is this little guy right here. (Knocking on wood).  Although this morning he tried to convince me he had stomach issues so that he can stay home from school.

M has been sick constantly with one thing or another.  Matthew had something pretty awful right before winter break and he's now laid out on the sofa from something else.

Mark and I had some sort of stomach virus a few days ago which only lasted a day, thank goodness because he had two birthday parties to go to on Saturday.

So sick, but still smiling...

We went and celebrated Reagan's Frozen party.  It was super cute complete with a visit from Elsa.

After Reagan's party we went directly to Davis' party! Mark had so much fun playing, but I didn't take very many pictures.

iPhone

M went and picked up Matthew's new iPhone yesterday.  He's in love with it and was so happy to finally get his very own cell phone.
