What We Did - Week 24

Ok so I was going to do a catch-up post on the weeks that I've missed, but that would just take way too much time.  And besides, it was going to be pretty much the same as the vacation posts. So we will just go ahead and skip over to week 24.  I'm still not taking as many pictures as I would like but we haven't had much going on since we got back.

Day 176 - Thur.
M and I got caught up on some shows that we missed while we were on vacation.

Day 177 - Fri.
We had some swim time with our friends.  We've missed our Friday playdates!

Day 178 - Sat.
Sarah took Mark to a Thomas birthday party and we took the 2 older boys to see How to Train Your Dragon 2.  Super cute movie.

Day 179 - Sun.
We didn't do much.  It was a rainy day so we stayed home and watched the World Cup and the boys went and played with their buddies. And no pictures today.

Day 180 - Mon.
This was pretty much a repeat of Sunday except M was on a business trip and the boys had one of their friends over for a sleepover.

Day 181 - Tue.
I got two awesome things delivered today!  My Kendra Scott necklace and my sister's shower invitations.
Day 182 - Wed.
This was Mark watching TV.  Doesn't he look comfortable?  M took him over to the Gs and I had some quiet time at home.  It was a nice little break.

We had another day of rain - making it 4 straight days.  My plants are probably loving it.  I know I loved all the rain.

Hawaii Vacation Days 14-16

Day 14 -
We had an appointment with a photographer to do a family photo session in the morning.  When M and I stayed here 5 years ago, we took pictures at these rocks down at the beach next to our resort and it turned out really well.  So this is where we went again for the photos.  After the session was done, we stayed behind to take more pictures!  The boys were actually very cooperative.

We went swimming and then it was off to dinner at the Pineapple Grill. Here are my handsome people on our way to dinner

Day 15 -
Friday was our last full day of vacation so we got up early and drove into Lahaina for breakfast. Marky did not want to change so we let him go out in his jammies - which we never do.

Then we spent the rest of out day at the pool and the beach!  Michael body surfed and went boogie boarding the whole time we were at the beach. Matthew boogie boarded a couple of times.  He was done with it when he got salt water in his mouth and eyes.

Love this view!

Day 16 -
Last day in Maui.  Our flight was in the late afternoon so we spent the morning watching the World Cup and packing up.

All packed and ready to check out!

On our way to lunch in Wailuku!

Were were in luck!  There was a Ululani's by the airport so of course we had to stop by and pick up our last shaved ice before heading to the airport.

Here we are waiting for Daddy to get back from returning our rental car at the airport.

The kids did so well on the plane. Mark enjoyed a sundae and a movie before he fell asleep.

We got home a little before 7 Sunday morning and it took me a couple of days for me re-adjust to TX time.  We had one of the best vacations ever and it was sad to see it end, but like they say, "There's no place like home."

Our Hawaii Vacation - Days 11-13

Day 11 -
We went snorkeling at Kapalua Bay.  This bay is great for that because the waters were calm.  Matthew and Michael had a great time! Surprisingly, Matthew was out there longer than Michael.  My iPhone wasn't good to get a good picture of them out there.  The little orange dot in the picture below is M and the two smaller dots are Matthew and Michael.

This is the other side of the bay. Gorgeous with the lava rocks.

Mark and I hung out on the beach while big brothers went snorkeling with Daddy.

Matthew was exhausted after snorkeling.

We all played with us in the sand afterwards.

We headed back to the resort for lunch after our trip to Kapalua Bay.

Then, it was more swimming at the pool.  Mark had the whole kiddie pool to himself this afternoon. The boys were playing in the big pool.

This is a view from our resort. Again, gorgeous.

Day 12 -
We woke up to the sound of rain today.  We had reserved a cabana today and decided to keep the reservation (we should have cancelled).  It rained all morning into the early afternoon so it was a little bit chilly to be swimming.  The boys didn't really care, but it was not the best day to be out by the pool.

I "braved" the rain (really, a mist at the time) and walked over to the Honalua store to get the boys some breakfast.  It was such a nice walk that I didn't want to go back to our room :-)

I took a little detour and went to the lobby for a little bit.  I probably could've sat out here for a long time, even in the rain, but I didn't.

We went out to our cabana and Mark had a nice nap while the boys played.

For dinner, we went to this hole in the wall pizza place if you can call it that.  It was basically a stone pizza oven on trailer in a parking lot.  It was so good!

Then it was off to Lahaina for some shaved ice at - you guessed it - Ululani's.

This little guy loves him some shaved ice!

I came across this random selfie of Matthew.

Day 13 -
We decided to go on a morning walk with no particular destination in mind.  One of the valets up front told us about the Kapalua Trail so off we went.  I'm so glad he pointed us there because it was awesome! We "hike" up there and enjoyed the amazing views.

Then we climbed down onto what's called the "Dragon's Tooth."  It was basically lava flow that jutted out into the water. It was a pretty windy day, but it's always windy here a Kapalua.

The boys saw a cave and wanted to get up closer so M took them.

It was such a great way to spend the morning! Then we spent the rest of the day by the pool.
